Thursdays: 10:00-11:00—Bugs: The good, the bad and the ugly: Entomology 101 (Heather)
12:30-2:00—Fun with Food (Gleamer)
Fridays: 9:00-10:30—Connecting with Nature (Anne H.)

3:15-4:15—Science and Math (Joe)
There is also the possibility of a Brain Gym and Richards Institute Instructor teaching this trimester. A confirmation will follow in the next newsletter.
Sign Up for Spring Trimester Field Trips
Please let us know which field trips you and your family will be going on by emailing Gleamer . The cost of each field trip day (even if there are multiple field trips on one day) is $5/family PLUS the fees charged by the place(s) where we’re going. To attend the Spring Trimester field trips with Raw Learning all fees must be received no later than Monday, March 29th. Send checks payable to Raw Learning at Raw Learning, 2807-B N. Augusta St., Staunton, VA 24401. Additional information will be emailed out late on the Sunday evening before each field trip.

Tuesday, April 27--Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library: Staunton

Tour and interactive activities
Younger group-Explore house and difference in past vs present, play 19th century games, dress up
Older group (around 10+)-Scavenger hunt, examine artifacts, interactive discussion regarding customs and dress
Cost: Free for ages 0-5, $4 for 6-18, $8 for adults
Wednesday, May 5--Quiet Acres Sheep Farm: Grottoes
9:00-11:00
Learn about rotational grazing and caring for herding dogs and sheep
Learn about Guardian Dogs that live amongst the sheep
Main focus will be hands-on interaction with Border Collies, sheep and lambs

Check out the medical helicopter, explore in small air plane and fire trucks.

Ride go-carts: $3-$6/ride. Available for ages 2 and up.

Take a bracelet making class
Work with beading or knotting hemp

Cost: Free for ages 0-2, $19 for ages 3 and up ($25 for all day), $5 to just observe
