Class Schedule Changes
•    There will be no Around the World Club on Wednesday this week.
•    For the following 6 weeks (beginning 10/14), Around the World Club will be held on Wednesday from 9-11AM.  As part of Around the World Club, Fun with Food will take place at 10AM with a recipe inspired by the country visited that day.
•    Big on Biology is rescheduled for Tuesday at 11 AM this week only.

Field Trip-Thursday, October 8th The Paramount Theater-Harold and the Purple Crayon 
*Only families preregistered may attend with Raw Learning.  Winter Trimester field trips will be available to register for in December.
9:00 AM-Leave Raw Learning.  (Please call or email and let Gleamer know if you would like to meet her there and follow her to Charlottesville.)
10:00 AM-Arrive Charlottesville.  Gleamer will park in the metered parking lot where the Farmer’s Market is held on Saturdays between South and Water Streets.  Cost is $.25 per ½ hour payable in quarters only.  Here is a link to a map of the area that might be helpful. www.mapquest.com/maps
10:00-11:30 AM-Explore the Downtown Mall.  www.downtowncharlottesville.net/seedo.html On the East end of the Mall is the Children’s Discovery Museum.  Raw Learning will be going there.  If you would like to visit the Museum, the cost is $4 per child over 1 year of age.  ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free (Reciprocal members of the Harrisonburg Children’s Museum are included).  Be sure to bring your membership card.  www.vadm.org/about.html
11:30-12 Bring a picnic lunch to eat on a bench.  If you would like to eat at one of the many restaurants, please plan on finishing up by 12 so that we can check in and be seated at The Paramount.
12 Noon-Check in with Gleamer in the vicinity of the fountain that is to the left of The Paramount if you are facing the marquee.  She’ll be holding the Raw Learning sign.
12:05-Check in and be seated as a group.
1:30-The show ends and we will be dismissed as a group.
2:30-3 Return to Raw Learning

Reminders
•    Enrolled students need to submit their immunization status or religious exemptions by this week so that the mandatory immunization reporting can be completed on time.  If you are a homeschooler who stays with your children, this does not apply to you.
