Are you seeking more joyful and harmonious relationships with your children?
If you are, come join us as we walk the path of peaceful parenting. Beginning in April, we will meet monthly to support one another as we explore and practice non-coercive parenting and consensual living. This is a parenting practice that values the wants and needs of everyone equally, regardless of age, and creates mutually agreeable solutions.

We are excited to have a new Air Hockey Table and a Piano. Thank you to the Miles Family for donating these items and to the Brian, Joe, Ian, Fred, Mark and John who helped get the behemoth piano from Churchville to Raw Learning. Whew!
Peaceful Parenting
Raw Learning will begin sponsoring a conversation circle on the 4th Wednesday of every month. The dialogue will be surrounding efforts to work with the young people in our lives to inspire them to be their true selves. Notable work by Alfie Kohn, Naomi Aldort, John Taylor Gatto and A. S. Neill, among others, may be part of the conversation. Gleamer is sorry that she cannot provide more information immediately but will be sure to include it next week’s Newsletter. She promises!

Field Trip- Tuesday, March 16th—Frontier Culture Museum: Staunton
*Only families preregistered may attend with Raw Learning. Spring Trimester field trips are available to register for now.
9:00 AM -Leave Raw Learning for Frontier Culture Museum which is located at 1290 Richmond Ave in Staunton directly off of I-81 Exit 221.
9:15-Arrive at Frontier Culture Museum and check in as a group. You can choose to participate in either, both or neither programs. Feel free to take a self-guided tour during any part of our visit, or afterwards until 4:00. Interpreters will only be available at the sites where the programs will take place.
9:30-Begin first Program: From Ireland to the Valley Hands on activities at the 18th Century Irish Farm and then at the 1740 American Farm.
11:30-12:15-Picnic lunch.
12:30-Begin second Program: First, Catch your Hare Hands on activities at the German Farm and at then at the 1820 American Farm.
2:30 – Programs end.

Do you like to throw things? Tomorrow, we will be making paper airplanes! How far do you think you can throw it? Can you build one that will reach all the way across the big room? It should be lots of fun! Also, we have the pinatas to smash or finish decorating, what ever you feel like doing with them.

Field Trip- Tuesday, March 9th—Persimmon Dairy: Harrisonburg AND Whitewave Beverages Manufacturing: Mt Crawford
*Only families preregistered may attend with Raw Learning. Spring Trimester field trips will be available to register for next week.
8:30 AM-Promptly-Leave Raw Learning for Persimmon Dairy which is located at 2383 Fort Lynne Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802. ATTENTION: Wear rain boots and prepare for mud. Please let Gleamer know if you would like to meet her at Raw Learning and follow her to the Dairy.
9:00-Arrive at Persimmon Dairy.
9:30-Leave Persimmon Dairy for Whitewave which is located off of I-81 Exit 140 at the intersection of Rt 11 and VA 257 (Frieden’s Church Rd).
10:00- Arrive Whitewave and begin tour.
11:45-End tour.
